Started the a Bloody Mary and a Peroni draft. The Bloody Mary was fair. We have to remember this is more of a beer and wine place. Not that great for regular mixed drinks. Only the martinis are good. They have started having "rotating" drafts many from local breweries. Nice addition. You can try a sampler flight of four for ten dollars. We tried a free taste of the Funky Buddah Fuhgeddaboudit Red Ale. Has carmel undertones wasn't bad. The small salad is perfect for two. We ordered the large Paul and Young Ron with 1/2 hot and 1/2 sweet peppers. It was good but for my taste the crust could have been done a little longer and darker. One other point I would like to make is it is always "noisy" so if you want quiet and intimate this is not the place. I personally don't mind the chatter.

Ley me state that I'm kit a huge pizza fan or lest just say that my idea of dinner out is NOT a pizza. That's more like a night in. Now that I've gotten that out of the way , I will go on to say that I have visited this place 3 times and two were not by choice. Well I will be honest now I am a fan. We usually go out in a group of at least 6 and order Pizza which is honestly delicious . The salad is fresh and not drenched in dressings which makes that lettuce nice and crispy .we order their wings which are there own recipe and I love the cameralized onions on them along with their bread. The meatballs are delicious and taste home made and guess what you even get to take the pot home . Overall it's a good dining experience , fun and casual if that's what you're looking for . So I say if you like pizza ( or not as much) still give this place I try , I don't think you will be disappointed .

Pizza is good but the menu is so limited. There's really not much else to order. I had their meatballs and hot peppers which was ok. This place is good for kids and families for pizza night

It was a Saturday evening, and we came here for dinner. I have wanted to try this place for awhile. However, I just never made it in there until now. Honestly, I was not missing out on much. I ended up ordering the pizza, and it was good. The staff was friendly too. We even brought our pup, and the staff was very welcoming. However, the problem is their menu selection. As a vegetarian, I was not excited over my options. I was hoping to try some appetizers or something extra. They have a few things, but I hoped for more.

Anthony's is a staple for us. We've been going to this restaurant for over 6 years and love the location. Not only do we love the food, but we love the service. The staff is so friendly and welcoming (especially the bartenders) and we've never had a bad meal. Obviously, we will be back. We absolutely love it!

Love! After having tried their food at the Boca location and had a poor experience, we were dubious about this location but we were craving for pizza and the NFL games were on!! We were delighted to have found this place still in operation on Sunday at 3 and had the games on. Our server was a nice gentleman and we ordered the same exact thing we had at the Boca location- pizza and wings. This time, we were blown away as we half expected it to be of the same mediocre preparation as the other location. Nope! It was obvious they take better attention to the food here. The wings were definitely not salty! Cooked to perfection. The pizza wasn't sorched either. We are glad to have had our faith restored in Anthony's and we will come back to this location only!

The restaurant has more of a college bar atmosphere inside- VERY loud with sports playing on multiple televisions dotting around the dining area as well as the bar area. We were seating inside quickly but could not hear ourselves over the crying kids, yelling parents, and the televisions. We asked to be moved outside. The wine list was good with a nice variety to choose from. I had a great Italian Super Tuscan and my companion ordered a margarita which was nicely made- not too sweet, not too sour. The menu is limited to a few set pizzas and a few DIY options. Not a huge variety. We ordered a small meatball and ricotta pizza and a small pepperoni and onion pizza which were nice size portions. The best part was the pizza base. Just great and crispy with no soggy portions. Prices are relatively reasonable. Our bill came to $60 before tip. To be honest, won't be heading back due to the noise level. Might rather go for a take out pizza.

Really good pizza but don't expect the typical pepperoni. Wings are great too -- they are grilled, not buffalo style. Told us 30 min and got us in in about 15 which was great. Awesome beer selection. Definitely recommend.

Just plain AWESOME. Be sure to get the wings-- not the ordinary "wings". Pizza is excellent.

The salad is really terrific and so is the eggplant stack with yummy tomato sauce. Parking is awesome as it is close to Atlantic Ave but they have their own lot. I saw that they have drink specials and I imagine outdoors in the evening would be nice for a drink and apps. I have had their pizza before and would say that it ranks high as well. Reasonably priced and good service... Works for me!

The wings are amazing. Take one star off for not getting out take out order correct, but it was still delicious.

P.O.S. Pizza wow! Crap of all crap. I remember growing up eating public school lunch and the pizza tasting better and having more cheese on there than this disgusting restaurant. For $17.99 a large pie consists of a round shaped bread with $.30 cents worth of marinara sauce and about a nickel yes 5 cents worth of cheese! EIlios pizza has more cheese than this embarrassing restaurant. This is my second time getting pizza from this place and there is just absolutely no cheese what is the point of having pizza that consists of no cheese on it embarrassing and ridiculous has nothing to do with growing up in New York to understand the pizza should have cheese on it do not go to this place by any means they do not put cheese on their pizza.

Good Pizza, Friendly Staff and Comfortable Atmosphere! We often find ourselves here when we are craving pizza. First I have to mention the staff - they actually act as if they love working here! Every visit they are super friendly and helpful - Good Management in place on that one!! We like to sit outside in the lounge area for a casual meal. Love all the pizza combinations and the crust is perfectly thin and crisp. The house salad and dressing is a good starter - the dressing is a vinegar-y/sweet concoction - light and pairs nicely with the salad. We discovered a new item on our last visit. We saw something looking and smelling delicious delivered to another table and snagged the waiter to ask what is was. Wings. So we ordered them - so yummy, if you like wood oven baked wings :) Totally different than the traditional version (no sauce) and a really nice addition to our meal. We will be back for those for sure! Overall the food is good - and combined with the friendly staff makes it a go-to spot.

Anthony's has good pizza but the service isn't great. Today during our visit one of our party received her entrée 45 minutes before everyone else and we had to keep on our waitress constantly to get simple things like drink orders and napkins. The biggest problem is how loud it is to eat inside. It's nearly impossible to have a conversation with anyone without shouting which makes having a social meal very difficult. Although the pizza is good the service and atmosphere just don't make it worthwhile.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is a chain of restaurants that span from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania (snowbirds, cough), and all the way to The Sunshine State. With multiple locations in the South Florida, for this review, I will be focusing solely on the Delray Beach location. Parking at Anthony's in Delray is a little tight. Off 6th Avenue, the parking lot isn't the biggest and it's hard to find alternative parking, but with a little patience I haven't had a major problem in the past. The restaurant's outside has little seating for dining, but I enjoy the large patio couches that await you while you are waiting for a table. Speaking of, the wait can sometimes be long. Be sure to get there early or do a call-ahead before going. The hostesses I've experienced in the past are quick and prompt. Not a lot of smiles, but hardworking. The food at Anthony's is light years ahead of other Italian restaurant chains such as Olive Garden or Sal's Ristorante. For my date and I, we both ordered a plate of Anthony's roasted chicken wings and a small 12 inch basil and mozzarella pie, which was a perfect amount of food for two. The chicken wings at Anthony's are amazing. I love the caramelized onions smothering slightly charred wings. The pizza here is good, with a somewhat crunchy/ somewhat burnt crust, with fresh sauce and basil. Although I did not drink booze that night, Anthony's offers a satisfying beer selection with plenty of craft brews. Now, before I go further, if you don't like even like a smidgen of burning on any of your food, do not order the wings or pizza. But even more so, stop being a little bitch and open your taste buds, or just don't go to Anthony's at all. Don't come on Yelp and whine because you're not eating Domino's. The restaurant has a certain way of doing things, and a delicious way of doing things for certain palliates. Take it or leave it. My service at Anthony's at Delray is always excellent. I've had the same waitress twice in a row and she was all smiles, quick, honest, not hungover, and above all always friendly. I can't vouch for the rest of the crew but I noticed they all look like they have a fire (a coal fire, to be exact) under their asses, which is a good thing. With a great price, Anthony's is a good weekday dinner spot. I rarely give high reviews for chains since a lot of times the more a brand expands, the quality takes a hit. I will say at Anthony's in Delray that this is not the case. A great place to bring the family and loved ones, don't miss it!

My mom suggested we go here for dinner as they had been before. The place was packed. The service was lacking (I'm assuming it was because they were so busy). Either way our waitress wasn't very attentive and we always had to stop her when we wanted something. However the pizza was excellent.

We have been going to Anthony's for a few years now. It is our go to place when we are in the mood for pizza and wings. It's coal fired - the wings are amazing! Smothered in grilled onions. Our go to pizza is the young Paul Ron or something like that - very spicy (or the peppers are, anyway) but we love it. If we want to tone it down we order the meatball pizza. Atmosphere is great and service is always pretty good! All of our out of town guests ask to go when they come back to visit!

Bland, bland bland! I simply don't understand these reviews. I have been fooled into going to Anthony's a second time because these reviews were so good. I just assumed that my first experience was not typical of others' experiences, so off we went last weekend to try this place again. The first time we went there about a year ago, our pizza was pure black on the bottom. Not just charred, but totally burnt. We were told by our server that this is how it was supposed to be -- after all, it's "coal fired". This visit, however, our waitress told us that the server was wrong and that he just must have not wanted to take it back to the kitchen. "Yes, there is some char -- but not totally black." She was right. This pizza was charred on the bottom but not burnt to a crisp like last year. Unfortunately, we were able to taste the rest of the pizza. Meh. We ordered it with ricotta cheese, onions and peppers (our typical pizza order everywhere we go). It was the most bland tasting pizza ever. Even salt couldn't help. I am not sure what it was about it that made it so bland, but it totally lacked flavor. There is absolutely nothing unique or special about the pizza here. Despite it being eatable (unlike last year's pizza fiasco), it simply was not good. It reminded me of the "diet" pizza my mother used to make. She would use low-fat Polly-O mozzarella cheese with a cheap store-brand tomato sauce and no seasonings spread out on a thin whole wheat bread dough. Then she invariably burnt it. It had no flavor at all. I think mom gave that recipe to Anthony's.

Terrific experience! Though it was a busy Friday night, we immediately were offered a table in their patio seating area replete with propane torches to keep us warm due to unseasonably chilly 59 degrees. We ordered "family style" items including the herb roasted chicken wings for appetizer, large house salad, and the 16" coal fired traditional pizza w/ Italian sausage, mushrooms, and kalamata olives. Being from Chicago, I know great pizza, but this was the best I've ever had; the crust was flavorful, the cheese and sausage fresh and of the highest quality. Service was equally outstanding, our waiter was attentive and humorous, ensuring a great overall experience. Definitely give Anthony's a try when in town.

Yummy pizza!! We WISH we had a place with pizza like this at home! Weird waitress though. She went on a tirade about how dinosaurs never existed and scientists put fake bones in the ground to make money. As a zoologist's daughter, we found her passionate diatribe to be rather comedic. The patio was a perfect spot for relaxing in Del Ray.

The only good pizza in south Florida. Great ingredients nice slight burnt thin crusts. Good wings. Crazy expensive however, but I guess it's the price you pay for good pizza down in south Florida. THIS is coming from a Providence, RI native at the top of the pizza belt (google it, a strip of land between south jersey roughly to north end Boston.) Thus if you aren't from the pizza belt your opinions on pizza are deeply shunned and disregarded with prejudice. It's just life, a totally different world of pizza. It's not the best pizza I ever had but it IS South Florida's best.

Best... pizza... ever. I'm serious, I don't even bother eating any other pizza. If I am going to blow calories on pizza it will only be Anthony's pizza. I have been to many of their locations and all are great, however this one is close to my house and I love the outdoor patio area. That being said it can get packed and parking can become an issue depending on when you come. Be warned, this is not your typical pizza you get from any pizza joint. It's very thin and "well done" aka burnt just how I like it. I have never had any of their toppings because I like my pizza pure and un-compromised so I cannot comment on those. My other favorite item is their salad. Best... salad... ever. Seriously. There's really nothing special about it, but for some reason every other restaurant seems to fail at these basic salad principles. First of all they use the crunchy baby romaine none of that old rubbery stuff, secondly, they serve it COLD as a salad should be. The dressing and gorgonzola are just icing on the cake. Lastly they have a great selection of craft beers and they are always changing it up.

Del Ray is a really cute town..wish we could have looked around a bit more while we were here. We had dinner here as a big group..Nice seating set up for us in the rear of the restaurant. They have a nice patio, though it was raining when we arrived. Couldn't enjoy it. Food was good, service was fast. Pizza had a nice crisp crust and the family sized salad had an excellent dressing. Ample parking. Nice place for families!

This was my first time at the Delray location. Anthony's hands down always has great pizza!! I love how it comes out a little burnt and black on the edges. The crust is always crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The pizza is not the only awesome thing on the menu though. Most times I just come for the salad with gorgonzola cheese and the wings which are absolutely finger licking good and I mean that literally lol!!

Nice place, nice people. I'm not much of a thin crust guy so keep that in mind. Had a $10 lunch special pizza.. and it was just a bit bland and not a ton of food. I'll try a sub some other time.

I had to try this place because my dad was raving about it. The food was amazing. We got the chicken wing which I highly recommend. They are seasoned and bbqed. Even my picky 4 year old ate 4 of them! The pizza was great as well. My only complaint would be the high prices... It was like $65 bucks for 3.5 people to eat salad, wings and pizza. Worth it though for some top notch food.... You get what you pay for! Good experiences and nice place. Go early to avoid the waits.

Get the WINGS!!!!, My god they are awesome. They're huge, meaty and grilled. They are covered with onions over pita flat-bread. The pizza is good, but I only go for the wings. They have a good selection of craft beers and its only a few blocks off Atlantic blvd. They got a expansive patio which I prefer over inside because it can get pretty lively. And get there early on the weekend if it's in season otherwise you'll wait. Big fan nonetheless...

I give them 4 stars for FL's standards on pizza. Although my experience wasn't great, the food was pretty good. We sat for a half hour until the salad came out. Then the people who were seated 20 minutes after us got their order of wings and pizza before we even got our wings. Then they bring out the wrong pizza to our table. So we had to wait another 20 minutes for them to bring the correct order. We were probably there for like 2 hours to eat a salad, pizza and wings which we devoured in less than 15 minutes. The italian salad- Way too salty and sour. Even bitter. Would've been nice if they put mushrooms. Wings- Pretty good. I really liked the texture and that it came with grilled onions. Pizza- I've had their pizza before and they're generally pretty good but the crust isn't consistant. Some parts were thin and some parts were really thick and doughy. I would eat here again but for $20 a pie, not too often. Pizzas in NY don't cost that much!

This my fav pizza place "off the Avenue"! We always order the Margherita Pizza, Chicken Wings and the Family Salad. The food is always good. The environment can get a bit noisy but it is a family style restuarant! I like the chicken wings as they have no skin or breading on them Makes you feel you are eating healthy. Best time to go is afternoons 3-4pm when it is a little more quieter.

Great dinner with the family! 2 large family style salads, 20 wings, and 3 pizza's..the location, service, and food were all 5 stars.. We sat outside on the patio with the torch heaters and nice ambiance..

Nice place. Simple menu but everything they make is great, especially the wings. Even a simple salad tastes great! Nice craft beer selection, fast friendly service, highly recommend. Here's a tip, I should have listened to our server and ordered a simple cheese or one item pizza. Less is more here....

First time eaters here. Was pleasantly surprised all around. Called an hour ahead to put name on wait list. Got there a little early and was seated promptly at an outdoor table for 7 people. Service was excellent. Prices friendly. Large salad fed all of us. Wings were good and the pizza delivered on taste and crust. Everyone liked the place.

If you've never tried coal fire cooked pizza your really missing out. Recently discovered this cooking method while living in NH. When I moved to Florida I though I would never have coal fired pizza again. Much to my delight I found Anthony's less than 5 miles from my home and glad I did! Excellent pizza, excellent roasted wings! This place is always busy and I can see why!

As far as pizza joints, this place was ok. The menu caused some confusion on my part because a co-worker ordered the Broccoli Rabe & Sausage, which is listed in the "Speciality Pies" section. When it arrived, it came as an appetizer, not a pizza. It was my first time eating rabe, and it reminded me of kale. The appetizer was good and enough for two people. I then ordered the Paul & Young Ron, which was also good. The smallest size is enough for two people, especially after ordering a heavy appetizer. All pizza crusts are NY style. I had a long island, so my portion of the bill was probably around $30, which to me is pretty pricey. There must be some sort of senior citizen discount though because we were surrounded by the geriatric crowd. Although the pizza wasn't bad, it wasn't screaming, "Come back again!" Pink's Pizza in Houston and Gino's East in Chicago still top my list for pizza. To me, the sauce or the crust has to stand out in order to be delicious and memorable, but both seemed average to me. Maybe I am a snob. If someone wanted to return, I wouldn't object, but I would suggest looking at other eating places in the area as well.

Idk what it is about this place that people like but in all honesty i thought this place was gross. Ragu on top of a burnt cracker with melted cheese is not my type of pizza. Also wings were dryer than the bone the meat was on.

I want to say that people that are not from New York cannot make any good comments on pizza. I went to this restaurant in Boca and I have not been happy with any other pizza. It is wonderful. The specialty pies are just great. Try it and you will love it, if you are from NY or Brooklyn

I assumed when I moved to south florida that Anthony's would be like any other pizza place on the planet. It's like no matter what pizza places market, it always seems to taste the same. But Anthony's was different. First and foremost, the vibe is fun. You can sit outside or inside. Inside is very loud, but fun. Outside is busy, but good. There's always usually a wait to get seated outside but while you wait you can sit on the comfy couches outside and order a drink, which is what I usually do. The food is OUTSTANDING. Trust me on this one, order a large order of the coal-fired chicken wings. They are to die for. The come piled high with caramelized onions on top. Good Lord, they are great. We usually get the margherita pizza or the sausage, pepperoni, and onion pizza. It's like a thin crust and really hot. The pizza is thin but doesn't lack substance. I seriously could binge eat here if I just left a buffet. It's really hard to stop eating because it's so good. Every time I come I wish I would bring a power chair for when I leave because I'm usually protruding and resemble what a pregnant man might look like if that was a possibility. Long story short, GO TO ANTHONY'S if you like pizza and wings. Oh, and the tequila sunrise's are made just r-i-g-h-t :)

We'd ordered their pizza to go in the past, but finally decided to stay there and dine. The outside patio has some nice loungy areas for outdoor seating, and the inside reminds me a little of a pizza parlor, and that's a good thing! The color of the dark wood and the darker lighting really felt like we were in Shakey's or another old school pizza parlor. Parking in the lot is limited and fairly tight, but there's ample street parking around the place if you get stuck. The menu isn't old school at all! We ordered the Roasted Cauliflower pizza and a salad with gorgonzola. The pizza was really good, but since it doesn't come with a red sauce we ordered it on the side for dipping -- perfect! I'd probably skip the salad next time around since it's mostly just lettuce and way overpriced at $9.50 + the extra $2.50 for the cup of gorgonzola, even though it was a huge salad. It was just mostly lettuce though. The only other con is that the beverages are sold in plastic bottles. What a waste! My husband ordered a Coke, so he got a 20 oz bottle of Coke. We saw other tables with bottles of soda and tea, and really wondered why on earth Anthony's chooses to fill up our landfills with this garbage and not get a soda fountain? Is it a matter of less cups to wash? Seems weird. We'll be back for the pizza, but will likely go back to ordering "to go" and drinking at home out of glasses we can wash, not plastic bottles we can toss.

***in my best Gomer Pyle voice*** Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! The fact that I am not a pizza lover and never seen a crowd at the Boca Raton location, I wasn't expecting much here in Delray. It was only natural to be surprised to step into a packed house (on a Wednesday night). I peeked inside and saw a dark rustic decor and a large youthful crowd surrounded the bars perimeter. Along Federal Highway they have a patio area that includes live music. On this night it was folksy rock versions of various hit songs; rather decent and they kept the volume low (something I like so dinner conversation can continue along). The have patio furniture (couches and ottomans) where they serve drinks and appetizers. We opted to take a table in the patio dinning area. I was told the "coal oven roasted chicken wings" was the "IT" dish to try. In addition to the wings we ordered a eggplant marino and a pizza with "baby meatballs and ricotta". Wings had superb seasoning and cooked perfectly (not fried and greasy was a nice change); served over caramelized onions and focaccia bread. Eggplant marino was made up of thin sliced roasted eggplant with marinara sauce. It was so good that I returned to another Anthony's location a couple days later to satisfy my eggplant craving (I still can't believe I craved eggplant, but I did). The pizza was excellent and the additional of ricotta as a topping was something I was sure would be just okay but turned out it really worked. My Yuengling was the perfect compliment. Beyond the food the atmosphere was comfortable and the decor was rustic and pleasant. Our server was on top of her game. The parking lot was tight (and full) but plenty of alternate street parking was available. Turns out Anthony (of long time iconic restaurant Anthony's Runway 84) still knows a thing about doing Italian because the food was perfect and the place had a packed house in the middle of the week. Hope the rest of the many locations are as good.

My favorite pizzeria I've ever been to! Have nothing but good things to say. True brick oven pizza..the eggplant is the best in the word! It's cut so thin and the sauce is awesome. The salad dressing they have is out of this word. I dip my pizza in it. Only bad thing about this place is that it's always FREEZING inside, bring a coat if you plan on dining indoors.

Recommend getting the wings!!! I rarely eat wings because I am a snob and only like a few places and they are up north...but theses wings are awesome!!!! Roasted and in herbs&spices very good! Just wished service was a little better and that happy hour was more benefical.

I just went there with a couple of friends for dinner and drinks. Tip- we had to wait but the lounge area was really nice so we didn't mind waiting at all. We ordered the wings while we waited they were awesome. For dinner we got a large cheese pizza and it was the best I have ever had. Only giving four stars because of the wait so just be prepared.

Burnt to hell pizza and meat undercooked. I hate when a restaurant screws up a take out order and makes no resolution to address it knowing the customer won't send it back. Your take out customers should be one of your most important as they are repeat easy business.

The name Anthony's may conjure up images of a classic italian fare. Prepare to be surprised. The pizza is the star of the movie here, and man does it deserve an Oscar. The thin crust coal fired pizza is full in the flavor department thanks to the smokey, charred crust, and is one of the few pizza places I look forward to eating the crust almost as much as the pizza itself. Toppings are limited and well chosen, in keeping with the minimalistic style of the menu. The wings are outta site, Dyn-O-mite! No buffalo or BBQ to be seen, there is only one flavor and it is smokey charcoal throughout, with crispy saute charred onions that had me at hello. The italian salads are delicious with great variety of ingredients. There are also a few sandwiches, a traditional calzone and some family style soul food selections. Where it differs from the classic italian motif is all the major dishes center on the coal fired oven which gives off a heat and aroma throughout the restaurant, and there's even a "warning" above the oven stating "Danger! Our pizza is well-done". Of course it is... The ribs are smoky and spicey, and even the foccacia bread accompaniment of salads and other dishes get treated to the charred oven. Great atmosphere and friendly staff put this as my favorite pizza spot in Delray Beach (Mellow Mushroom is a close second)

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is certainly not the best pizza place in South Florida (that honor goes to Scuola Vecchia, in my opinion), but I'd give them 3.5 stars for effort and excellent customer service, rounded off to 4 stars because you can't give a half star on Yelp! Their fresh mozzarella tomato basil pizza is the closest thing to a Margherita pizza you will get. It has no sauce but they will add it if you request it. It's very good but would benefit from a more well-done crust, which would probably take an extra 10 to 15 seconds in the oven. The coal oven roasted chicken wings are delicious and unlike your everyday wings - heaped with caramelized onions and accompanied by warm and chewy triangles of fresh foccacia bread, the portion is huge and enough for two people. Their meatballs with ricotta are light and fluffy and the sauce they are served in is excellent. The classic salad, with the addition of gorgonzola, makes the perfect light meal if you're not in the mood for pizza or a meat-laden dish. Service is brisk and friendly. They are usually quite busy and I often call in my order to take home and it's always ready, the staff is always polite and they are always very welcoming. This is one of the many reasons I will continue to patronize Anthony's.

Pizza always has been excellent but service last night was terrible. Called in pizza at 5:15 pm for 6:15 delivery. Waited in take-out line for about 15 minutes because of Super Bowl (no problem with that) but my order - one pizza - couldn't be found. Grl behind counter said they would make another and then charged me $20. I said "So I have to pay incompetence." She took offense to "incompetence" and called me a name under her breath. Do the math - 85 minutes and no pizza. The manager saved the day by giving me a free salad and apology to go along with the pizza. I'll go back because it good pizza and close to home, but only because the manager rescued the help.

What a great place. And with a hip and happening crowd. We found it quite by accident. Waited less than 20 minutes for a table for six for dinner on Saturday night. The house salad was delicious with hard boiled eggs, large fresh tomatoes and more. And the house dressing was really tasty. We then split a pepperoni pie and a half meatball / half eggplant pie. Everything was absolutely delicious. The meal was reasonably priced for what we got. No objections on the prices listed on the menu. And there were plenty of choices to eat and drink. Our bill was $69 for six including drinks (plus tip). The servers were great and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. We had a great time. I recommend.

Stop reading all the reviews and I will save you some time. This is the BEST place for pizza in South Florida. Seriously, stop reading the reviews and go visit this place or I will have to smack you.

Paul & Young Ron Pizza is the bomb. You have to order the wings. Beer is cold and waitresses are beautiful.

We got take out from Anthony's and they served up a couple of solid pies. The coal fired oven chars the pizza a bit and the crust came out perfect. We also liked their topping options. A mushroom and Kalamatta combo with light cheese for the lady. Sausage and Broccoli Rabe for moi. I really enjoyed that combo and the garlicky veggies were a perfect compliment to the meat. These were some great pies. It appears to be pretty popular and you may want to order take out or just expect to wait a bit. Also looked like a decent place to catch a game.

It was horrible. They burned our pizza and the chicken wings were nasty.

Long wait on a sunday night, but easy to do with a glass of wine. Pizza's are delish, big and affordable, we ordered the 'traditional' pizza expecting more ingredients, but we only got a chees pizza ... well hopefully we'll come back

I was excited to try this place since I love NY style pizza but it was just ok, nothing special. I've certainly had better pizza many other places. Service was just ok as well. Everyone that works here didn't seem too thrilled to be there. The pizza oven roasted wings we had were very good, but with so many other places around I don't think I'll return here. The menu is very limited as well. The place always looks like it's busy, it certainly was when we went, but now I'm wondering why?

The Taylor Special Tonight was our first meal at Anthony's. My wife and I were so satisfied, we've decided to add it to our list of regular restaurant choices. First thing we noticed was ample free parking. We also noticed that we did not need to wait to be seated. It was a Friday night in early October and they had a few open tables inside and outside. The hostess was very pleasant, without being phoney. She seated us outside on the patio under a huge awning. There might have been twenty tables total under the awning, two or three of them being available, and about five large sectional patio couches. The eclectic mix of rock music being played through overhead speakers was a few clicks of the volume knob too loud. Taylor was our waitress. She was also very pleasant, and also not fake. And she was very knowledgeable of the menu. She knew the right beers to recommend based on our tastes in beer, and she gave us a thorough explanation of the food menu. We decided on the 12" size of her own signature variation of pizza. It is not an actual menu item (yet), but maybe someday it will get it's well deserved recognition. The Taylor Special was a traditional pie with baby meatballs, pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, garlic, olive oil, and plum tomatoes. Everything about it was divine. Most notable was the thin (but not too thin) crust, which had some dark edges that gave it an oven roasted look and taste, without being burnt, and the delicious hand made baby meatballs. They also brought out a free sample of their chicken wings. They were immediately interesting, as there was no hot sauce. They were obviously baked in the coal fire oven, and they were topped with caramelized sweet onions. They were really something special. Not sloppy like buffalo wings, they were crisp and had the tasty coal fired flavor, and were surprisingly moist inside. The sweet onions (I would assume Vidalia) were fabulous. Taylor was open to all my questioning and explained everything I wanted to know about the place. I wanted to know if she thought of the crust as being thin crust. She said "yes it is." I asked if all of the pies had the same crust. She said "yes, they're all thin and they're all well done." I added, "but not burnt." She said, "that's exactly right." Our total, with four dark draft beers and the pie, was $49.26, not including the tip. The pie was a few dollars more than one of the house specials, because we had a couple more toppings. It was well worth it. We tipped Taylor well, as she was very attentive and nice, and we're hoping that someday soon they'll add a single button to the cash register that says "Taylor Special."

Wings are great! Service was great! The best pizza in the area. Sat at the bar with Jenna and AnDee. They made very good recommendations for wine and food. I tried the new prosecco cocktail that they recommended and it was delicious.

Notoriously hard to find decent pizza in south Florida, but Anthony's is the exception. Fresh dough & ingredients, cooked just right in the coal oven. I usually go for a sausage & pepper pie, but everything I've tried has been excellent. Wings are great too- also coal fired w/ caramelized onions. Highly recommended.

Looking for Italian style chicken wings as I always got back north in Ma. Well found them and a wonderful pizza place. Mrs had a salad and help me with 20 awesome oven roasted wings. This is now my new regular wing place for sure. Salvatore was our waiter and he was excellent . his knowledge of the menu was just what we needed since this was our first visit. I recommend based on service, salad and wings this is a no miss place to go and to go to often. Next visit I will try the pizza or maybe the ribs..

This place has great pizza if you like it thin crust and well done like I do. I moved here from NY 2 months ago and this is the best I have had yet. We had a small size pie, the one with little meatballs and ricotta cheese (I can't remember the name), which was excellent and enough for 2 people with a salad. The service was excellent and the place was very clean. We will definitely be back! The only down side is that there are low ceilings so it was very loud but the pizza is worth dealing with it.

Tough to earn 5 stars, but this place rocks. Ambiance is great. It gets packed, so be patient trying to find a place to park. So far I've been here 2 X in 2 days, and the Salads, pizzas, and sandwiches are phenomenal. All the waiters and waitresses are nice, and not the fake nice that's demanded by so many places; the employees seem genuinely happy to help. 5 STAR

Wondeful pizza! Their salads are great too! Lots of TV's, and fun outdoor seating. If you are going to be with a big group, I recommend getting there early. This place is always packed!

This place has just renovated a new outdoor sitting area, which sits tons more people. Today's a Wednesday and on Wednesdays they have a happy hour that is from 4-7 and the servers walk around and give away FREE wings and pizza slices. The pizza is amazing. I like the Paul and Young Ron with sweet peppers. The chicken wings are grilled with rosemary and caramelized onions. Plus the women that work there are all attractive. Get here soon.

One of our key "go-to" places for dinner with the kids. Lots of great pizza choices, but you have to try the wings! One tip - if you dip the pizza or wings in their salad dressing it is only that much better!

Meatballs? Check Salad? Check PIzza? Check-ish As the name clearly says this place does pizza. Its not their best dish though, its arguably their worst, however the salad and meatballs make up for the pizza's failure. the pizza is not ALL bad its just well done on the ends and undercooked in the center. I'm still a fan of the place but just dont come here looking ONLY for pizza...go the meatball route.

"Our Pizza is Well Done," is what the motto says. But it could say "Our Pizza is Done Well!" Either way you slice it their pizza is a delight. Now me, I'm a thin, crispy crust pizza lovin' kind of guy. Even at the regular pizza joints I go to I always request thin and crispy. At Anthony's it's what they do best. They have several South Florida locations and on this occasion we went to the Downtown Delray Beach location. We were a little surprised to find the place was packed even though we arrived at 8pm on a Monday night. After a short fifteen minute wait we were offered indoor or outdoor seating. We chose the indoor seating and gave a drink order as we checked out the menu. I opted to order for the table and started with the classic Italian salad with Gorgonzola. Michelle ordered a large order of meatballs with ricotta cheese. Ilona, Steve, and I got a large Ron and Young Paul pizza with the roasted hot peppers on the side and I added a small order of Coal Oven Roasted Chicken Wings with caramelized onions and focaccia bread. Ilona and I jumped into the salad as soon as it hit the table. It was a hit and in a few minutes the rest of our order arrived. Our server took the remaining salad and returned with it packaged and bagged for the trip home. Our server plated some pizza slices and we all started to dig in. The on-the-side peppers looked like roasted slices of green bell pepper and Ilona took a big bite. "WOWWW," she screamed, "Boy is that HOTTTTT!" They were really extra hot peppers, so beware if you order the same thing. We ate about half the pizza and there were enough chicken wings for everyone to sample them. I had them wrap up the rest of the pizza and wings to take home and I thoroughly enjoyed them again the next day. I have always had a good time since my cousin introduced me to this place bout a year ago. I have been back many times and recommend it any time the subject comes up. Along with the Delray Beach location, I have been to Anthony's in Pompano Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, and Aventura and the food and service was always top notch. Anthony's gets my "highly recommended" award and I would appreciate it if you would mention my name when you go there.

Mediocre chain pizza. Can't fathom all the good reviews

Pizza good, wings incredible. The smaller pizza was better, with a slightly thicker crust and less sauce. The wings were like the best roasted chicken, crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside, flavored with rosemary, sea salt, and sauteed onions. Incredible. I'm docking them a point for atmosphere. Urgh describes it the best. Very loud sports bar meets I don't even know. They also serve soda and beer in bottles. Kinda cheap for a nice place.

This place was pretty good. Went on a Friday night with a large party and waited just a few minutes. Comfortable waiting area. Tried the wings and they were great. Also tried the ribs but to me they were too spicy...the spice overpowered all of the other flavors. Pizza was very good.

If you like your pizza crust burnt to a crisp... you'll enjoy Anthony's. But in our opinion, it's the height of arrogance and unconcerned management to be informed when ordering that 'your pizza crust is going to be totally burnt' (and inedible). As well, the house-special ribs (one of a handful of items on the menu outside of pizza) was also served overcooked (burnt) and hard to chew. There's a big flat-panel TV on every wall in the joint, we imagine to help distarct from the food and the high noise level. The place was packed on a recent weekend night... more a testament to cheap pricing... (there are no big ticket items on the menu). If you must... do the visit, but there are numerous other better places to dine in town.

I finally found good pizza in Florida. Moving from Chicago to South Florida my expectation of good pizza in this state was very low. This is excellent pizza. Super crust without the floppy wet noodle taste of the rest of the garbage being severed in Florida. Try this place now!

So, I read the Anthony's Yelper/haters and the Yelper/lovers, and I was conflicted. Is this really like Brooklyn thin charred pizza or is it a burned mess? I decided to try it out. My verdict: lousy pizza. Crust is charred but not in a good way. A bit too burned. TwoAmy's in Washington, DC is still the best pizza on planet earth. Pi in St. Louis a close second. Piece Pizza in Bucktown, Chicago, comes in 3rd. Anythony's is no where near my top 10, or 20. The bartenders are very nice, though. Oh, and they have a bunch of New York Yankees crap as decorations if you like that.

I love pizza. This pizza was very good. I would say the Paul and Young Ron's pizza was the best, although we also tried the arugula which was quite good. The service was excellent and the outdoor seating was optimal. You are not going to find a better pizza in Delray Beach.

Parking is horrible since the shopping center gave up space for a free standing Starbucks. The staff is very friendly and the ever present manager(owner?) is on top of things. It gets very loud on weekends nights so don't expect good conversation. It you enjoy thin crust pizza give it a try. The sauce on the pizza is fabulous. The sausage that they use is also awesome. Wine selection is slim. Have not tried the wings but people rave about them.

There are def better pizza places then this, but around the Delray Beach area they are hard to find so this place stands out. The pizza is very well done and the crust is burnt. I prefer my pizza the real Italian way which is cooked very quickly in the brick oven. The pizza is good though here, but def not the best. There is a big sign that say's (our pizza is well done) and they really mean it. The wings with the onions are the best thing there. I would go back for the wings and maybe try the pizza one more time but have them cook it less.

I love Anthony's! I don't love the 'burnt' pizza concept, but I LOVE the pizza there anyway. They also have the most amazing salad. The menu is limited but I like that because I hate going to Cheesecake and not knowing what I want and then ordering the same thing over and over. I would highly recommend going here. If you like soda though they do not offer fountain..

Pizza's great with a nice charred crispy crust - salads fresh and crisp and even the wings are tasty. Good service in and easy take-out. All in all, not a bad lunch or dinner choice.

Really tasty pizzas--Suggestion-- the small pizza is much better to me than the large. Crispy and just very good. It just doesn't get crispy on the large size. Wings are good--w onions and rosemary-not Buffalo style. Also try the eggplant Marino as a side dish. Delicious. Very thin eggplant w tomato sauce, and yes named for Dolphin QB of the same name who likes it on his pizza. Good service and great SMALL pizzas.

this place is a bit trendy and not cheap, but is definitely a good pizza spot. their crust is nice and the coal fire oven clearly makes a difference in the final product. i enjoy the pie topped with italian sausage and long hots. their chicken wings are awesome too. they don't put hot sauce on them, but instead roast them in the oven with caramelized onions and rosemary and serve it up with focaccia bread in a cast iron skillet. good stuff.

Ordered chicken wings and Marino pizza. Wings were awesome. Marino pizza very good. Wished I had room to order salad. Several folks nearby were eating the salad and the salad looked fabulous. Will definitely be a regular stop for me when visiting Delray.

Okay, the pizza is definitely tasty - nice thin crust, all your favorite toppings, etc. - but I'm a New Yorker, so I'm judging at a higher level. (Minus one star.) The wait to get served? INSANE. (Minus another star.) No joke - Jill and I waited 45 minutes for our pizza. Say WHAT? Shouldn't in-house customers deserve better treatment than takeout customers? I vote YES!

The Eats: I love NY style pizza and this is as good as it gets in Florida. The Lombardi's of Florida (if you will). Great thin crust. Coal oven crust. The ARUGULA PIZZA and the MEATBALL PIZZA are scrumpdiddlydumptious. Great crust, tangy sauce. I saw someone eating the wings and I almost ripped them off of their plate. Next time, I'm trying those also. Next time is here, I tried the CHICKEN WINGS (grilled.. dry...amazing) Served on warm bread and caramelized onions. Not fatty or greasy. I also met Anthony through my friend Alyssa at his other restaurant Runway 84. The Experience: The place is small and cramped, so I prefer to sit at one of the few tables outside on the patio. The service is good but quite slow due to the crowds (every day of the week) so take out is always a good choice too. Good bar. The Damage: Same as any gourmet pizza. More than faux pizza, but you are paying for quality ingredients.

Pizza, my favorite food! Growing up in Queens and living in South Florida for the past twenty years, I am serious about my pizza. Anthony's is delicious. I had been to Anthony's three times before, They have a few locations (I ate at Boca Grove, Royal Palm, and Delray), but Delray is my favorite. More Italy oven pizza than New York style but equally tasty. Perfect, thin crust, great sauce and cheese. We ordered two pies among us, but I only tasted the cheese with meatball topping. Didn't love the meatballs. More Papa John than Nino's. I always drink water, but rest of the table drank iced tea and soda. They were all disappointed with the single serve plastic bottles instead of usual fountain or fresh service. Everyone with me favored the sausage and pepper pie (Paul and Young Ron), and were impressed with how good Anthony's really is. The weather was perfect so we sat outside on the patio adding a cool feel to the evening. The Manager greeted the tables and helped make the place feel more intimate. Overall, upscale pizzeria in a good location with some of the best pizza around. Pricing his higher end for pizza, but actually a good value versus other types of dining.
